My seedling stopped growing or died. What went wrong?

If the seed germinated but the seedling didn't make it, common causes are:

  • Stretching: the seedling grows tall and thin, then falls over. This means too little light. Move the light source closer or use a stronger one.
  • Overwatering: seedlings need very little water. The soil should be moist, not soaked. Let the top layer dry between waterings.
  • Damping off: the stem turns soft and thin at soil level, then the seedling collapses. This is a fungal issue caused by too much moisture and poor airflow.

Send us a photo and your growing conditions. If the seeds were defective from the start, we'll sort out a replacement.
